CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, DELIVERY, & MANAGEMENT
I bring nearly two decades of experience in curriculum design, delivery and management for college, middle and high school, and lifelong learning environments.
With my two "creative problem solving" degrees and years of curriculum design and delivery experience, I have developed educational experiences incorporating entrepreneurial mindsets, design thinking and creativity development for high school, college and adult professional learners, built to be cross sector with STEM and business disciplines. Plus, being a working creative entrepreneur, I know the pragmatics of taking a idea into the marketplace.
Through curriculum design, instruction, and workshops as an "entrepreneur/artist/design thinker in residence", I involve students as well as established professionals and creatives in design thinking (an iterative process of problem identification - potential solutions - research and prototyping - reflection and feedback).
My curriculum development/management/delivery consulting work has enriched the following organizations:
Appalshop Media Institute; Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts; AIR Institute of Berea College; Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+); Association for Creative Industries; Kentucky Arts Council; Mountain Association for Community Economic Development; Morehead State University; & Southeast Community and Technical College.
I also have several successful years delivering Kauffman’s FastTrac Entrepreneurship Training Program virtually, blended, and in a traditional classroom. FastTrac is focused on small business development manifesting in an actual BUSINESS PLAN. I am an experienced facilitator and course manager for economic development organizations in the delivery of this training program. More information about FastTrac is here: www.fasttrac.org/.
